6th World Mathematics Competition 2008
The 6th World Mathematics Competition 2007, which was jointly organised by Sakamoto Educational Systems Pte Ltd, Singapore, and the master franchisees of Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Korea, was held at Imperial Ayurdata Hotel & Country Club, Jakarta, Indonesia on 29 March 2008 (Saturday).
73 representatives from Grade 1 to Grade 6, who had won the national competition held in each country above, participated in this 6th World Mathematics Competition 2008. They are the elite representatives out of 2007 Sakamoto Maths students who participated in the national competitions in each country.
They solved 16 to 33 challenging questions in 45 minutes for Grade 1 to 3 and 75 minutes for Grade 4 to 6. 45 students were awarded for their achievements.
Objectives
- This competition is to challenge, encourage and develop all mathematically gifted school students in all countries.
- The competition is also to foster friendly international relationship among students and teachers.

10.00am-11.30am (Grade 4, 5 & 6)
Venue : Imperial Aryaduta Hotel & Country Club, Jakarta, Indonesia
Prize Giving Ceremony : 29 March 2008 (Saturday), 6.00 p.m.
Eligibility
- The prize-winners of the national mathematics competition organized by the master franchisee in each country are entitled to participate in this competition.
- For those students who were in Primary 1 to Primary 6 in 2007.
